As one year comes to an end, a new adventure begins.
Our year 2026 began with a lot of excitement and anticipation. One of the highlights was being sent by our church in Rosarito to serve and support our church plant in Playas de Tijuana. It’s worth mentioning that the pastor in Playas married us.
But the year didn’t just bring that new adventure in Playas de Tijuana; it also brought the opportunity to give a conference in Mazatlán. Pastor Jesús, a pastor from Rosarito and a friend of ours, put together a team to give a conference and training session at our sister church in Mazatlán.
We led two workshops on preparing age-appropriate lessons, especially on how to do so in a fun way that would make them want to come back to church. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, and we were also able to help lead the services while we were there, as well as translate and assist with the children. We even helped them record videos to promote their church. It was a great experience.
God is at work in that small church located in the heart of one of Mexico’s most conflict-ridden areas due to organized crime, yet we can see God’s hand protecting it and bringing more people to His feet. It was an incredible experience, and it is something we hope to continue to do year after year, with God’s help.
