My old group from the Rosarito church.
September 4th & 5th, 2026
First and foremost, I apologize that this post will not have photos; I forgot to take some, and so did the other guys 😂
Well, this is the first year that the camp was so chill; the new guy who is running the ministry wanted to do a stress-free camp for the teachers, so the topic of the camp was The Way, The Truth & The Life. In this camp, our focus is to serve the kids.
So we like to divide the kids into groups, and they select a leader during the camp. We are giving points and taking points according to the rules, the way they treat one another, basically how Christian they behave, because at the end we give prizes: backpacks, airphones, toys, candies, etc.
The Goal of the camp is for them to learn by having fun. We have games that have to do with the teaching; they have free time too, so they can go to the pool. I might mention that that’s their favorite activity of the day: swimming and enjoying the pool. Here in Mexico, it’s not so common to have pools in the House, especially up north, where we have a big shortage of water, so any opportunity we can do water games they love.
But also, at every camp, we share the gospel, and this time we got one kid that professed faith; that’s the only picture that we have, when we all are praying and laying hands on him.
Doing what God has called me to do is the joyous moment of my life. And I want to end this post with a quote from Eric Liddell.
“You will know as much of God, and only as much of God, as you are willing to put into practice.”
